Welcome to TRL

Queen's Telecommunications Research Lab (TRL) spans many telecommunications disciplines: Data-driven and Machine Learning-empowered 5G wireless networks and beyond, Edge Computing, Network Function Virtualization, Next-generation wireless sensors ruggedized for harsh environments, peer-to-peer networking, multimedia services, RFIDs and the Internet of Things. We participate in the creation of new standards that shape the future of telecommunications, and we ensure sustainability through implementing protocols that minimize environmental impact. We are located within the School of Computing, at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
